i LOVE petz 4 so much it is amazing you should play it noWW, you can download petz 4 or the other petz games here. This game is from 1999 so its one of the older games like this that im aware of, this series in general. You can take care of catz and dogz but theres also bunnies and pigs to adopt ive never done that before so idk whats up with those. the main things you do is take care of your pet by feeding, petting, and playing with them as most games are, you can also breed your petz which is very neat i like the fun coloured ones more than the default colours for the breeds so i mainly like bred petz. this game is very like moddable, you can do a thing called hexing where you customize petz, make custom breeds, room things, toys, ect, theres different little pieces of software that were made by the games community that help with this. I dont know too too much about hexing but i wanna get better at it, the photo i used has the first pet ive hexed which is the little pink and blue kittycorn and its a breed file thing so you can download here and put it into your catz folder, i dont know fully how to make the horn stay white so if you breed it with another pet and it keeps the horn it will probably end up being like brown or whatever the other catz fur is. theres a lot of petz themed websites where people show off their petz they play with, hexes theyve done, and give out little resources and things you can download i really like the community thing i love how creative everyone is and the fact that owning your own little website is so common. There were a lot of petz sites on geocities and stuff so you can find lots of little graphics things on gifcities and stuff which includes beautiful things like this:
i have an entire collection of these anti petz abuse banner things from old petz sites here i find them very funny, the abuse theyre reffering to is spraying the petz with the spray bottle item in the game, which i dont agree with doing that to real animals thats just awful, but i think its really funny that so many of these people took the petz 4 spray bottle so seriously that they were making little images of their petz crying calling you evil if you dont go delete the file for the spray bottle from your game. a few of the banners ive found compare it to real animal abuse its actually insane to me its so funny, im not saying animal abuse is funny, its like those insane insensitive historical littlest pet shop videos (if you dont know what this means go watch littlest pet shop jfk assasination), the thing its about isnt funny but the way theyre talking about it is so insane like WHAT are you doing
i really want to get into the other petz games eventually but i started playing petz 4 because petz 5 is apparently a lot more buggy than 4 so thats why everyone plays 4 and less people play 5, i also just dont like how the older ones look as much but i do wanna try play them eventually and also oddballz seems neat, i will not be playing babiez tho that is horrifying to me
